I had a wireless keyboard that hadn't been cleaned of hair, food or dust in over 3 years. I pressed the gel onto the keys and let it sit on each part of the keyboard for about 2 minutes. Then I pulled it out and the space between the keys looks empty, even new. Nothing comes out when I shake the keyboard. Don't try to stretch it horizontally across the keyboard. Simply press all of the gel vertically onto each section, leave for a few minutes and move on to the next section. Also, make sure you lower the keyboard overlays so they don't break when you press the gel. No need to press hard, just massage the buttons.
