Product has worked great from first use which is probably the basis of most 5 star reviews. The second time I used it 3 weeks later, one of the gauges showed 40F higher than the other, both in the same piece of chest piece. Sensor exchange, restart etc. did not solve the problem. When I used the device for the third time about 2 weeks later, the remaining working probe did not register temperatures below 120°F, despite being placed in a chicken breast at about 50°F. Once the smoker was on, it went up to 200F for 20 minutes and never came back. Tried restarting again etc. to no avail. I checked it again this morning and it reads 140F when I'm sitting at my desk at 72F. I just threw it away. Waste of time and money, only worked well the first time. I cleaned the product and stored it in a cool, dry place with the cords wound on the spools that came with it. No heavy water or mechanical stress was applied to it to explain the malfunction. I think it's probably just cheap junk, sorry. I do not recommend buying it.
