I have to say right away that I'm a mechanic and I design a lot of metal parts for different applications. Due to my daily work, I tend to look at things very critically. I have to say I really like this bottle cage. The design is sleek and modern without being distracting. Material has been removed to maximize the weight advantage without sacrificing strength. It's a lightweight black powder coated metal that looks great on my orange and black bike (Raleigh Merit 2). Well made, great finish and easy to assemble. Being a metal, it can be repainted if the surface "cracks" a bit over time. My bike has 2 mounting options for a bottle cage and I am seriously considering buying a second one. Good job everyone.
