I am not a polymer clay sculptor nor an enthusiast. This Christmas I just wanted to make two hand printed decorations with my little ones. Clay was shipped quickly. It was a bit firm out of the box, but with the warmth of my hands and a little kneading, it softened and became workable. 8 ounces. The block was perfect and made two decorations with little left. It took a lot of work and effort to get my little one's handprints deep enough to show all the details. But once we did that, all the details, including subtle fingerprints, were captured. It was easy to add baking to the toaster oven. I placed them on a foil-lined baking sheet and baked according to directions (I lowered the temperature slightly below the recommended temperature because I read online that the white clay can turn brown if the temperature is too high) for about 15-20 minutes . I'm very happy with the tone and decorations we made. The children had a lot of fun doing handicrafts. I would recommend this product for the price, versatility and ease of use.
