Good Old Sculpey Clay

I was concerned it might be dry and/or expired but received fresh packaging. Ideal for beginners working with baking clay in the oven.

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Good price less than hobby shops

Bought this clay to make checkers and backgammon stones for gaming tables which I made and didn't want to scratch with rough plastic. I've never used polymer clay before so it took some trial and error. But the end product is very beautiful. Tone conditioning is not the easiest and requires effort, but again the end product is very good! Costs money!

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Appearance

You won't be disappointed

I've never worked with clay but I wanted to try making my own wedding decorations. This clay was so easy to use and malleable, yet tough enough to hold its shape when working on small, intricate details. I used a heat gun and in just a few seconds it was hard as a rock. Great as a primer/shape if you use colored clay for the overlay like I did. And in itself it works great. The perfect white wedding dress

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Useless features

White is great for mixing.

If you're like me, everything should be either soft pastels or bright colors! But white has its place. First, it's great for mixing and creating custom colors. It's also more economical. Let's say you have a large project and you need a medium to light shade of blue. Can't find what you like? Or the one you like weighs only 2 ounces. Blocks? A simple solution. Purchase Sculpey Premo Art Clay Ultramarine Blue Hue, mix a little with White Sculpey to achieve desired light blue color. Voila! Lotsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The joy of painting and finishing. After baking, it can be sanded, drilled, cut and painted with water-based acrylic paints.
Cons
  • Skimpy Instructions

Pleasant to use

I haven't used clay since high school (4 years ago) when I was in pottery class, they are obviously completely different types of clay but modeling clay was easy to use even though I had never had any experience with it it . Before. I didn't do anything complicated, just coasters, but I still liked it. I really liked that it only came in white as I didn't want or need any other color. The white is really great because after it cooled I was able to apply acrylic paint on it. Baking instructionsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stays soft until baked - Does not air dry. Stays soft and pliable until baked in your home oven - no oven required. Save the extra sound for later use.
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Perfect clay for making Christmas decorations with baby hands

I am not a polymer clay sculptor nor an enthusiast. This Christmas I just wanted to make two hand printed decorations with my little ones. Clay was shipped quickly. It was a bit firm out of the box, but with the warmth of my hands and a little kneading, it softened and became workable. 8 ounces. The block was perfect and made two decorations with little left. It took a lot of work and effort to get my little one's handprints deep enough to show all the details. But once we did that, all theโ€ฆ
