Great replacement for a 2008 Explorer power seat

When my 2008 Explorer seat suddenly stopped tipping forward, the $ panic started! I took apart the underside of the seat, cleaned the connections, nothing happened, sorted the power seat portion between the Ford and Revain dealer websites, this is what you need if you need forward/reverse drive, forward/rear tilt and have lumbar support. in the seat. It is somewhat awkward to remove the side panel from the seat, a bright LED will help you here. A Torx T-20 screw, not visible, holds the front of the side panel with latches when the screw is loosened. A snap-in plastic herringbone connector holds the area accessible from the rear seat, then remove the seat belt cover by lifting slightly and there's a plastic screw insert on the side of the metal frame. You must remove a small screwdriver or cat claw trim to "loosen" the power forward and recline tilt knobs before the power seat assembly will disengage from the seat panel. Once removed, you will have room to remove the lumbar support knob. You have to pry them open but they will pop out. Once everything is removed, 10 minutes, a small flat head screwdriver to pry each tab off the power seat switch to loosen it, unplug it, plug in a new one and test it before re-engaging. If everything is OK, reassemble in reverse order and you've just saved $300-$375 off the dealer price minus the cost of the part here at Revain.
