Extra Wide Accessory Switch

Honestly, if there's one thing I love about the Nintendo Switch, it's that you can play anywhere, anytime. The hybrid console has sold over 40 million units worldwide and presents a successful collection of great games from Sonic Mania to Super Mario Odyssey and everything in between for gamers young and old. But when it comes to Switch accessories, that's a different story. There are so many different accessories designed to be played only with the Switch, with mixed results. Hori has developed some solid Switch accessories that work well. Their latest product works well, but with limitations. Split Pad Pro is more like a set of Joy-Cons, but only in manual mode. They're easy to set up, but can be tricky to connect at first. But they work very well in your favorite Switch games in handheld mode. I had no problems with Mario Kart 8 or Super Smash Brothers: Ultimate. But controllers have a few downsides. First, you don't have rumble or amiibo support for these grips. While this increases the Switch's battery life, it limits you to just one way to play on the console. I also wish there were improvements to the buttons because they would get stuck from time to time. I love the idea of these controllers and they work better than brands like NYKO. Still, more could be done to increase the value of the Split Pad Pro for Switch. Price: Comfort & Personalization: C+Overall: C 1/2+
