Review on AIP Electronics Generation Distributor Replacement by Shane Sanchez

I'm in business. We manufacture and repair Hot Rods and Street Rods. Obviously I'm constantly in search mode for reliable parts. Installing reliable, durable parts allows me to look good in the eyes of my customers. In the Corvette discussed here, we have diagnosed the failure of the original Optispark (GM block). I installed an MSD unit in hopes of improving the car. This block lasted 60 days. It was not damaged by water or a leaking water pump, as is often the case. MSD replaced it under warranty. The second MSD block lasted just over 1 year. So the guarantee is over. I searched the internet. Found one of the AIPs. Since it was so much cheaper than the MSD device, I thought how could I not try it. It is now installed and has been running flawlessly for several months. Time will tell whether this value is better than the MSD unit. So far I give 5 stars for price and durability.
