Arana roof lifts and deck hatches just installed. Great! Both can now be conveniently opened with one hand. Too bad I didn't install it years ago. The advice of experts Mina and Vigor from Arana helped me a lot. None of my hatches had existing elevators, so drag and geometry had to be figured out. I also needed the hatches to open 90 and 110 degrees respectively, which required a different installation orientation than a 45-60 degree opening. It also required a bit more resistance due to the lower leverage. Tip: Start with a paper layout of the installation using the total open length and closed closed length. Then repeat this on your sunroof with a pencil/marker and measure open and closed - climb in if you must - making sure to account for the height of the bracket. That was my approach and I got them perfect on the first try (well, drilled a wrong hole in the sunroof). Used 15" 36/50lb lifts on 80lb sunroof and 20" 100lb lifts on my 6ft 140lb deck hatch. Arana elevators offer outstanding quality, outstanding customer service and a great price. I will be using them to replace my trucks and pretty much everything I own that needs lifts.
