Worked great after I made the mount

After I made the mount it worked great. They don't attach to the side panel, which I didn't think of with my camper bed that lifts up for storage. I just took an aluminum bracket and made some brackets so they could be mounted horizontally and they worked great. You raise the bed slightly and now we can get back to our camp. I would buy them again for our next cover or bed RV project.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Really cool. on Shocks, Struts & Suspension

Once I position them correctly, they fit perfectly in my 10 inch queen size memory foam bed. When I hadn't arranged them properly I figured I needed the larger ones and bought the 200#. You are TOO STRONG! I couldn't even lower the bed! So I went back to reinforce the structure under my bed and took my time placing these 100th# and they work great but I don't know what to do with the 200# yet.

Hard bed holder top

I was a bit skeptical at first because of the cheap price, but it's just a gas shock absorber. Arrived 2 days after order. I bought these to support the bed in my caravan. Except that I got tired of holding the bed with my head and trying to grab something. I bought 150 pound shocks and that might be too much. The plywood on my bed is just under 1/4 thick. Without a mattress, two people must try to move it down or the plywood will break. Once the mattress is in place, I can lower it down with…

No more sagging for spares

Bought because the existing RV bed platform lift was too weak after we replaced the mattress. That 55 pounds added just the right amount of elevated support to stay on my feet. Initially I thought I would have to make new mounting holes because the brackets were different and the ball joint at the end of the post was different than the original. I then found that the ball joints on each end of the post were unscrewed and the threaded ends of the new posts were exactly the same size and thread…

Customer Service Update

As with many other reviews, choosing the right shock size is the hardest part. I initially read reviews where customers chose dampeners that were too strong for their application. I usually tend to overrun extensions, so I bought a size smaller than I originally intended. The end result was that I chose a shock size that fit my unfinished project, but after adding material to finish it I added more weight than the shocks could handle. I confessed this to them and explained my situation to them.

Great value, great customer service

Arana roof lifts and deck hatches just installed. Great! Both can now be conveniently opened with one hand. Too bad I didn't install it years ago. The advice of experts Mina and Vigor from Arana helped me a lot. None of my hatches had existing elevators, so drag and geometry had to be figured out. I also needed the hatches to open 90 and 110 degrees respectively, which required a different installation orientation than a 45-60 degree opening. It also required a bit more resistance due to the…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
