After the original part failed at 140,000 miles we found this part and it works great on our 1998 Chevy Silverado 4x4 K1500 3 door. The door panel comes off fairly easily. There are a few videos to watch. I suggest you watch both. This can save you time and nerves. Also ordered "Lantee 20 pcs Car Door Panel Retaining Clips for GM 15960325" and "ACDelco 15176030 GM OE Front Door Radio Speaker".
