rating downgraded from 4 to 3 stars. I was using a vacuum pump with the charging cable attached and accidentally applied some force to the cable where it connects to the pump. This slight pressure was enough to rupture the cable jacket inside the pump, rendering the device unusable. Of course, this damage could have been avoided if I had unplugged the cable before use. However, I believe that the pump should be more reliable. I've only had the product for a few days, so I can't offer a long-term perspective. The product arrived complete, on time and as advertised. I charged the pump using the cable that came with it, plugged into the computer's USB port. I tested the system with a small bag and the last inch of a loaf of homemade bread. The pump worked as expected and was easy to position over the air valve for the few seconds it takes to remove air. In the attached photos the result is two days after sealing. The pump was able to create enough vacuum to almost flatten the bread; and the air valve kept the seal well for two days; So I am satisfied that the product works as expected. There are plenty of pockets and spare air valves in the set so I expect to find good use for storing various products for years to come. A few small moments that diminish my full satisfaction. The package does not include a power adapter. Remember that charging requires you to connect to an existing USB port (e.g. on your computer or phone charger).2. The charging port is deeply embedded in the pump body. So a standard USB cable will not work. Don't lose the charging cable included in the kit.3. There are many terrible typos in the instructions. This does not affect the functionality of the product; but it makes me question the supplier's quality control.
