This is a very sharp knife. In fact, I cut my shirt with the top and forgot it was supposed to be on the side. When first used, the pins holding the wooden handle fell apart. I wasn't trying to get some time back before actually using it. In fact, it was sharper than my brand of Japanese, Russian, and German knives. If possible, consider buying a Red Dune pen. I really wanted to like this knife. 3 stars just because it's so cool! I'm not sure how long the blade will stay sharp after it breaks apart after slicing through a duck and chicken. There is only one pen left.
