Faulty device in repeater mode

Required a commercial outdoor Wi-Fi extender to get the signal on our docking station. Set up the device as a WiFi repeater and it was a big disappointment. The signal from my failed Lynksys router on my docking station was better than this extender. Basically an expensive paperweight. Maybe it would be better if the wired connection was connected to my router, but I don't have a way to do that. Some of the previous reviews were good for this device, but I am very disappointed with the performance of this extension.
