Review on πŸ’ͺ Efficient Drilling with DEWALT DW2554 8 Inch Shank Drill: Unmatched Power for Your Projects by Brandon Reid

Revainrating 2 out of 5

DeWalt is generally good quality but these manufacturers in China

Bought two of these as spares as sometimes when drilling pilot holes they hit another fastener or have an accident and replacement is usually required immediately in the downtime to avoid. DeWalt is generally good quality, but these manufacturers in China that assemble in the Philippines are not. I may have gotten the parts from a bad lot, but both drill bits I received when I finally needed to use them had the bit in a pine hex shank. Not after a while, but drill the first hole right away. Plus: 1/8" drills can still be used as 1/8 drills. Length is good, not too short and short pitch length. Shank has a regular round cross section for jobber drills. Bad: Impact shank for clamping round hardened ones drills , clearly not up to the task.So I have to remove my Milwaukee quick adapter and use a (DeWalt!) drill with a Jacobs chuck, which slows down production. Two stars instead of one in favor of DeWalt's doubts that the drills I received, there are deviations from the manufacturer, but I will not buy them again.
