I have this cable on my bike so the device only gets power when the bike is in motion. The photo only shows the end of the Nuvi power plug. It was long enough to get the job done, and installing the step-down transformer section (small square piece) was easy in a tight space. When running, be sure to avoid pinch points and leave enough excess length to allow the bike to rotate freely in either direction. I carefully monitored heat build-up, but there was no noticeable temperature change. After several rides, I haven't had any power issues or crashes (which indicates faulty connections or quality control issues). I would buy again (but I probably don't have to).
