It's a hydraulic brake hose and it's ORANGE! (or many other colors)
These tubes look great on my new bike. They are very similar to the Shimano lines that came with the stock brakes, except they feel less stiff. I used them with an adapter kit for old XT brakes with banjo style fittings and they fit perfectly. Btw, I have a 29" big frame full suspension bike and still had a lot of extra tubes, the average should probably be around 9ft and 3m is 9.8ft.
