I experienced some fogging of the interior and exterior lights when idling, as well as general dimming of my lights. After pulling out my old unit, which was a 50 year old original that eventually failed and left me stuck, I installed it. I didn't need a seat belt adapter or anything - it bolted right on as a direct replacement. My headlights quadrupled in brightness, I no longer dimmed at idle and my van felt like a completely different car after seeing how bright the entire interior was. there were lights again. Would buy again if needed. Nice spare part.
