I bought this radio on sale, about $18. It arrived on time and in new condition. I bought it because it is small, can be charged regardless of the power and its versatility. I read some of the reviews and when it arrived I cranked it at least 60 times. It only picked up a few stations, then I charged it for a few hours and tried again. I can say that charging helped the reception A LOT, as did removing the antenna. The dial is very delicate. I have 2 major cities within 50 miles but didn't expect any reception. I caught dozens of stations. The dial is quite small and the dial is only a few centimeters in size. Thus, even a small movement on the dial leads to a change to another station. If I quickly dial the number and hear nothing, it would be very easy to dismiss this radio as junk. And vice versa. Despite some reviews I found the speaker ok. The backlight works very well. A flashlight is enough to navigate a dark house; but I wouldn't use it outside. Emergency channels work. I've seen radios twice the price that don't have these features. Will I recommend it? Yes.
