This turned out to be a great product that would give your average shade tree mechanic a professional finish but could use some additional parts from Mishimoto to push it through to a 5-star product. The air ducts in the Mishimoto kit distinguish me from other competing products (FM) that do not have air ducts or leave the installation to the installer (TSE). This kit is a great finished bolt on oil cooler for NB Miatas. The plate that attaches to the plastic base also hides any misjudgment in the size of the hole you cut ;) My Miata 99 took about 3 hours to assemble. After a test drive with no leaks, I called the installation complete. Please note: there are no assembly instructions included. Air duct trim installation, oil line routing, and oil cooler placement are all specified by Mishimoto, but they gave no instructions on how to recreate their vision (neither in the box nor online). Do like me and check out the pictures on the Mishimoto website to see how the air ducts should look like and some helpful tips: A longer oil line connects to the driver's side radiator and a 90° connector goes in the cooler. The radiator brackets attach to the steering rack with standard fasteners. The kit I received also didn't include all the hardware needed to attach the channel plates together or the hardware to attach the main plate to the bottom. I had to come up with 10 bolts and 12 nuts to complete the kit. Above are two reasons I gave it 3 stars instead of 5. The packaging itself was decent, but without all the hardware or instructions it looks like Mishimoto wasted their money and effort in the wrong place.
