When I first saw "brand name" leveling pads at Home Depot, I immediately turned to them. I've used them on every medium to large tiling project since then. For my latest project, I decided to see what else was out there and found them at a much lower price. I decided to try them. Wow! They're much larger than what I've used before, which gives a double benefit: 1) you can easily line 3 edges with a washer, which is handy for laying out a brick pattern; 2) They are easy to take off! Just a light hammer blow. I don't even have to remove the wedges beforehand. The only ones that don't come out clean are the ones that have excess solution built up around them. (Two out of dozens were like this and easily fixed.) The result is a superior product at a lower price. can't beat it!
