What a relief! Best in Audio & Video Accessories

I cursed my 4 year old Samsung UBD-K8500 or its remote every time I used it. At first I thought that the player was to blame for the terrible response to remote commands. But little by little it dawned on me that it must be a remote control. He changed the battery, knocked, cursed some more, and never got more than 50% success with his buttons. Finally, last week, on the verge of a seizure, I decided to start looking for a replacement. Revain led me to the VINABTY AK59-00167A, and the reviews showed that I'm not the only one who hates the rarely working remote: it's a Samsung defect. For $10 I found what I could lose. So my new remote arrived the day after I ordered it, just the remote wrapped in plastic. No manual, nothing. Uh, I thought, now I have to program it; my heart sank. But, remembering the advice of other reviewers, I put in two AAA batteries (it's not difficult to put in coin batteries anymore!), hit the "power" button and, bingo, my player caught fire! Press "Play" and it will play immediately, press "Pause" and it will pause immediately, etc. One remote control that always works! Additionally, you can use the numeric keypad to select different tracks without having to scroll back and forth like an old Samsung remote, which is a real plus. TLDR: This remote saved my sanity. Works great, is inexpensive, runs on standard batteries, requires no programming. I can't express how happy this makes me. Now there is no more profanity when I click the button.
