Used for an outdoor automation project. I wanted to control the irrigation both remotely and by timer. I used it to power a WeMo d1 mini that controls a relay module. The relay module opens or closes the 12V water ball valve. I used an outdoor 12V transformer plugged into an outside outlet. It fed both the ball valve and this transformer. The ESP controller can be powered via micro-USB, so this little one was perfect. It's compact, easy to connect, and works great with the controller module. Highly recommended. Will likely buy more for other automation projects, typically outdoor jobs that require 12v. Everything is open source, nothing in the cloud, won't become obsolete when the company dies, no snooping around my home network, reliable and cheap. What else do you need?
