As the name suggests I didn't need this for a patch cord but I did need this shielded cable for another project and it worked great box! (I cut off the supplied ends of the crocodiles, hardwired them to my battery, added quick disconnects on the opposite end, which then connected to the quick disconnects on my air compressor for off-road use - I leave the wire coiled and tie a zip tie on top my battery under the hood and pull a 16ft cable that goes all the way to the back of the car. You can connect DC quick connectors to various tools as needed and use one cable - works so well!)
