Review on EBC Brakes DP31642C Redstuff Ceramic by Mark Turner

These pads have excellent braking power. I have no doubts about the ability to stop a car (a 2010 Lexus IS 250) within reasonable limits. The brakes that were on the car when I bought it felt soft and spongy, but they weren't. They really lack the low-dust aspect. Since these pads have a "brake" coating meant to wear down the rotors, I initially thought the dust on my rims was the coating. After almost 2 months with the pads on the car, the brake dust is really bad on them. I have to use a cleaning pad to remove the dust from the rims and after 3 days there is a layer again. I will probably use EBC pads on my 4WD in the future, but for Lexus I will go back to OEM low dust pads. .
