These are perfect for replacing original struts that failed at 78,000 miles. I guess I'm tired of the sunroof banging against my head when trying to load and unload. They snapped easily into place and I was able to remove the old ones and install them myself in about 10 minutes. As the instructions suggested, I left the racks inside where it was warmer and waited until it was a less wintry day to complete the installation. I used a universal tool to remove it (you need a narrow flat head screwdriver). I pry out the old tabs with a screwdriver but have found that needle nose pliers work best to remove the tab completely. The hatch was solid and opened and closed with the speed and tension I remember when the Fit was brand new. I am happy with this purchase and have kept the seller card to recommend to friends and family when their shelves are finally gone. I will update my review as needed and if anything changes.
