Effective for cleaning tips
This kit was just what I needed to clean a badly oxidized soldering iron tip and get it working again. Literally a couple of times in the river and then in a metal grid a huge improvement. I also used Thermaltronics Tip Tin to coat the tip when I was done. I should have bought this kit with my soldering iron to begin with - it's far more effective than a wet sponge.
