ok pro. Come on, laugh at me. But without these tools I will never master sealing. A few years ago I found a 4 piece set very similar to this one at my local Big Name hardware store. This is shown in the attached photos alongside the 4 piece blue pack from this set here on Amazon. I winced at the ridiculous price of this 4 piece set. Almost $10. But I bought anyway. And I was so glad I did. After some trial and error, I got results that I'm really happy with. See that round shower valve cap I coined a while ago? Oooh, I bow. What a delicate pearl. The trick I came up with was to first make a bead around the back edge of the lid before screwing it on. Then immediately caulk the tile around the bottom as you normally would using one of those blue hand tools to make it perfect. Voila. I just checked and found that two major hardware stores are selling 4 piece sets for about the same price as this 13 piece set here on Amazon. I mean even DAP has a kit. If you look at these online ads, you will see that the blue silicone mold tools are probably from the same manufacturer as here. you are rough Now I have no excuse not to start.
