Review on πŸ”² Bare Decor EZ-Floor Solid Teak Wood Oiled Finish Interlocking Flooring Tiles (Set of 10) - Long 9 Slat by Nick Palacio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Turned my shower/steam room into a luxury spa.

A few years ago I renovated a bathroom, it had an oversized shower with bench and frameless glass but also a steam generator to create a sauna. I've been watching for a long time, but something is always missing. One day it dawned on me that if I could build a teak floor over ceramic tile it would give it an improved aesthetic as well as a much more spa-like feel. I was expecting a complex project, making everything myself, buying raw teak from a sawmill or a supplier, so the project was shelved as I assumed it would take a long time. I stumbled upon these teak tiles by accident on another site. It looked like what I was looking for but didn't know it existed. As usual I had to see if Revain had them for the same price and indeed they were here, albeit at a slightly higher price. In order to enjoy the excellent customer service I decided to order just one box, knowing that this would not be enough, I could see if these tiles would suit my needs. They have arrived and of course they are really brilliant. The slats themselves are of sufficient size and thickness that I believe they will be strong. Assembly is literally easy. I know I have to clean the tiles underneath from time to time, but even with my fit, I knew they could be lifted and reinstalled in minutes. from photos submitted by people and probably from my own photo. The color almost gives the impression that wood aromas are playing on the floor. Instead, the color is deeper and warmer, just like I wanted. Of course, with the main units in place, some trimming was required. I used both a jigsaw and a vibrating tool to make the cuts to fit my space. Even though multiple cuts were required, it was that easy. I had most of my second box of tiles left over, so I decided to use them to make a six block rug in front of the bathroom vanity and another two block rug just behind the shower door. For the range and usage at less than $200, this really is phenomenal value to me. Just building the floor yourself would be more expensive because of the materials alone. I almost decided to cancel my order thinking this is another one of my stupid plans as I keep updating and making changes and I think I'm just overdoing it on another project. Not so. I love to shower or vape standing and sitting on the teak. You finally get the feeling of being in a top-class spa. Such an ingenious product, so easy to use and with excellent tactile and aesthetic results. Highly recommended.
