Review on GOLDENROD (625) Pistol Pump Oiler 🔫 - Convenient 10 oz. Capacity with Straight Spout by Rodney Mendoza

Bought this product after reading someone wrote about this product's ability to pump thick oil. It is not. After it initially didn't pump the oil I intended, I unscrewed the nozzle, thinking that maybe it was restricting flow too much. Haven't pumped any oil yet. Eventually I cut off the tip of the nozzle but found that despite trying hard it still wasn't pumping oil. What I noticed is that the plunger entering the reservoir stays in the up position and fewer drops come out of the nozzle. A colleague at the shop gave me an old American oiler, probably from the 70's or 80's, and it worked great. I don't know if this thing pumps thin oil, but it's useless for thicker oil. I shouldn't have returned it because of the cost or the amount of work it would take to clean it.
