Quality control issues but at the end of the day it's an oil can.

The solder point on the top of the can is sloppy on all (and I could look at 6 cans). They don't clean it well and the coating eventually peels off. I had to send it back for a replacement. The lid is not sealed so it is prone to leaking (all of them). I've put pipe thread tape on the top of mine (twice I've had to thicken it to slow the leak) and it seems fine, but keep in mind the oil will eventually make this worse. Both versions of this jar (I bought both a pump and an old school one forโ€ฆ

Absolute junk: fuel pumps and greasing

Bought this product after reading someone wrote about this product's ability to pump thick oil. It is not. After it initially didn't pump the oil I intended, I unscrewed the nozzle, thinking that maybe it was restricting flow too much. Haven't pumped any oil yet. Eventually I cut off the tip of the nozzle but found that despite trying hard it still wasn't pumping oil. What I noticed is that the plunger entering the reservoir stays in the up position and fewer drops come out of the nozzle. Aโ€ฆ

This is a quality and must-have tool for those who have a drill press or other cutting tool without a lubrication system. The wide base of this oiler makes it more stable on a chipped work surface. My method of working on a drill for many years was to spot lubricate the hole I was making with tap magic or with a spray can of penetrating lubricant. This works, but has some disadvantages. First, tapping magic on a drill press is expensive. It works great but is very expensive and not veryโ€ฆ

He came with DENTS?!

First off, let me say that I just received it today, so my review of long-term durability and operational reliability is a bit premature. , it seems solid and well built, it has this 'feel of quality', everything is metal and not 'Chinese' but some kind of steel, it also seems to work well, it's not for designed to rotate. upside down so not necessary, you only have to fill it 3/4 full, holds a lot. I filled it with gear oil mixed with an ounce of engine oil. Look for good stuff so I have aโ€ฆ

Numerous problems when first used

Ordered in June and unfortunately not opened until today (return window closed 9.7.2017) for use with unopened ATF canister. Problems: #1 Minor - Pliers almost pulled to open pump. #2 Serious - Tried to rotate the nozzle and tried again carefully with pliers - no movement #3 Serious - Then tried to drain the ATF (dribbles only) and BENDING with only moderate pressure on the handle. Started working with the socket on the nozzle and the vise on the pipe, eventually the nozzle came loose. A viseโ€ฆ
