Review on GOLDENROD (625) Pistol Pump Oiler 🔫 - Convenient 10 oz. Capacity with Straight Spout by Jojo Howell

Ordered in June and unfortunately not opened until today (return window closed 9.7.2017) for use with unopened ATF canister. Problems: #1 Minor - Pliers almost pulled to open pump. #2 Serious - Tried to rotate the nozzle and tried again carefully with pliers - no movement #3 Serious - Then tried to drain the ATF (dribbles only) and BENDING with only moderate pressure on the handle. Started working with the socket on the nozzle and the vise on the pipe, eventually the nozzle came loose. A vise was used to reshape the handle for more functionality. #4 Easy – When the nozzle was loosened and then completely removed, it still couldn't pump out more than a few drops. He then proceeded to retrieve a sewing needle to clear the perceived blockage. I partially unclogged the clog to get an extremely fine spray and with the nozzle removed I was able to spray a 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone over a small area. I'll try to contact the manufacturer - if they get it right I'll update. UPDATE: Just an hour after emailing Dutton-Lainson Co. customer service I received a response saying they are sorry and will send me a replacement lubricator free of charge to resolve this issue. I will update again if I receive and use a replacement.
