Review on 🔒 Kwikset 99130-002 SmartCode 913 Non-Connected Keyless Entry Door Lock - Satin Nickel by David Angelboy

I've been using this unit since it was released in November 2014 so I think after 3 years of use it's time for a review. Installing this on a newer door that already had a latch so installation was easy. I have set the auto lock feature after 30 seconds. Anyone who lives in the four-season zone knows that our doors and windows open and close differently depending on the outside temperature. I had to make small adjustments here and there in different seasons, but nothing major. An "alarm” sounds, so to speak, if the lock is not fully locked. Some reviewers have complained about this, but since our house was robbed I think it's a great feature. If your door opens differently depending on the temperature outside, plan on a little shaving and chiselling here and there and keep the key handy for a year or so until it works perfectly, like mine does now. I also found the perfect batteries for this. They are sold here on Revain. I accidentally put 3.7 V 14500 2000 mAh lithium batteries in the power supply. Doesn't matter! It no longer sounds or moves like it's running on battery power. Now, with those batteries, it moves and sounds like an electric lock. In short, after seasonal adjustments to ensure the lock works properly in all temperatures, and with updated batteries, 3 years without a key!
