Beautiful, heavy, stable end board

I received this cutting board just yesterday, oiled it and used it once. It's everything I wanted and more. It's great that ProTeak has found great use for teak trimmings so that the reduced cost is passed on to the consumer. I calculated how much it would cost me to make such a board out of new teak and found that at only $114 this board was a lot cheaper than I could have built it. There was a bug that has been fixed, but other than that it's perfect for slicing veggies or cooked meat. Anyone who owns expensive cutlery probably already knows that a good wooden cutting board is essential to getting the most out of those knives and protecting them. that they last a long time. If you are one of those who know how useful a thin cutting board is in your cooking process, I highly recommend getting this board. End grain is what the pros prefer for the speed and control it offers. This one is heavy and sturdy due to its 2.5-inch overall thickness, but it has handles that are slotted into the ends for easy moving. There are no legs on the board so both sides are fully usable, but as most people know, wooden cutting boards should not be soaked in water or left on a wet surface for any length of time or they will warp and/or crack. Of course, never leave it near the dishwasher. Drying off the countertop and using a dry mat to keep the board from slipping not only makes cutting, slicing, chopping, etc. safer and more stable, but also prevents water damage. If you need a cutting board, you can put it in the dishwasher. light and easy to use, I recommend avoiding wood and using nylon/plastic cutting boards. Plastic panels have their place in the kitchen; I have a large plastic one for slicing raw meat and a small one that is dishwasher safe for ready meals. But if you're scared of cutting and chopping vegetables with a plastic cutting board and don't mind the maintenance of a wooden board, then get this beauty. I think you will be impressed. Warning: If you think a cutting board will look like the picture, think again. As with any natural product made of wood, the structure of the fibers varies from product to product, making each product unique. Also, the manufacturer makes no effort to mirror the grain, as was the case with what can be seen in the image. This requires cutting and fitting new parts, and the circuit board costs twice as much. Despite this, my board is still a work of art, even with a completely random arrangement of the pieces.
