Review on 🚗 Enhance Vehicle Performance with KYB SM5184 - Strut Mount by Shawn Sims

I use genuine Toyota parts almost every time I work on my 1996 Tacoma. Decided to at least try these mounts as my standard top plates were fried. And as usual, I was reminded why I rarely use aftermarket parts. All good aftermarket titles are now just foreign-made junk parts. KYB, MOOG, etc. They're all junk. Both top plates were poorly threaded and I could barely install the nuts that came with them. I was afraid I would cut them. Additionally, these are 15mm nuts instead of the standard 14mm nuts, which isn't a big deal, just a bit of a nuisance. However, one of these nutty top plates required a 16mm wrench, but it was still too big, and the 15mm wrench was too small to start with. I was eventually able to fit a 15mm jack, but what a PITA. Eventually they worked, but getting them to work was difficult. Also, they were actually sold separately.
