🚗 Enhance Vehicle Performance with KYB SM5184 - Strut Mount Review

Advertised as 2 mounts, I only received 1. Due to poor quality control, I've fallen behind with repairing my truck in my very limited free time.

They represent great value for money and you don't need to re-use your old rack jack in 4runner as unlike a factory part these bars have a top jack built in. 98 4runners

Tophat KYB was a little tight at the top of the rack. The grommet glued in at the top was a bit thinner than the ones that came with the posts, I had to add a 3/8" grommet to tighten the dust cap and large washer underneath.

This is not a pair of shock absorbers! This is for a hit! You have to buy 2 if you change both front shock absorbers. Although the questions say they come in pairs. They do NOT come in pairs. Bought for 99T 4Runner. Will check performance after I install it. Because I had to put my project on hold due to misleading information.

I use genuine Toyota parts almost every time I work on my 1996 Tacoma. Decided to at least try these mounts as my standard top plates were fried. And as usual, I was reminded why I rarely use aftermarket parts. All good aftermarket titles are now just foreign-made junk parts. KYB, MOOG, etc. They're all junk. I decided to ignore the bad reviews about these mounts for my '96 4Runner but took the risk as I have bought products from KYB (USA) in the past. The past has come and gone with KYB as these strut mounts are now made in China and POORLY designed. I only gave it two stars because the rubber bushing was the only part that looked decent. First, the three nuts holding the bolts are useless as I couldn't find a 15.5/15.25/15.75mm wrench or dared to ask someone if they make them. The default wouldn't
