I thought my wiring was wrong but when I called customer service they told me to turn on the switch on the battery gauge. I didn't even know the switch was there. It's a small gray rubberized switch on the back of the battery gauge, just above the throttle (see image). As soon as I pressed this switch, the car worked perfectly. It would be nice to have this little information in the instructions! I have a trailer with three horses that weighs 3200 pounds and a drawbar that weighs 540 pounds. My trailer is over 23 feet long and the driveway is only 30 feet wide. I can't flip the trailer while it's attached to my truck, so I have to unhook the truck and rotate it 180 degrees so it's facing right. Direction to go back down the driveway. That's why I bought this. I was a little apprehensive as this is a big warm-blooded follower on the higher end of what this machine can do, but it handles it just fine. I've used it probably 5 or 6 times in the last few months and it's been kept in the shed all the time when not in use. Even though I haven't charged it, the battery still shows full charge. The car works well, the best advice is to GO SLOWLY. Just take your time and you won't have any problems. If you try to hit the top speed, you'll run into the same issues that people here have written about. Make sure your trailer's wheel stays close to the ground because if you try to go too fast the dolly will tend to lean forward and lower the trailer. If the trailer wheel is close to the ground, the car does not tilt too much. Also, apply some downward pressure on the handle and WALK SLOWLY, this also helps prevent tipping. If you have a heavy trailer, do not make sharp turns. It's better to do 4 twists at a shallower angle than trying to twist them all at once. If you try to turn 90 degrees it is likely that one of the cart wheels will lift off the ground and you will lose traction, the cart will lift on one side. I have a cement driveway so I can't speak to you. How would it work on grass or gravel but I've seen other comments on here that said you would need to upgrade to tractor tires and that makes sense. This car has no braking function, be aware of that. if you use it on a slope. I wouldn't rely on him to stop a runaway trailer on a steep incline. I have a slight incline in my driveway and it's not a problem. It's a great price, strong enough you won't find anything else near this price that will get the job done by this machine. You can get better cars, but they cost twice as much. I had an issue with a leaking diff, but customer service was extremely helpful and responsive and ended up sending me a new unit. You were great. Summary: Turn on the switch on the battery AND on the battery gauge, DRIVE SLOWLY, do not over-overshoot, push the handle down slightly and keep the trailer wheel close to the ground. If you work within the machine's limitations, you shouldn't have any problems. So overall I am very happy with this purchase. Great value, great customer service, AWESOME car when used within its capabilities.
