Review on 🍳 Cuisinart 77-17N 17 Piece Stainless Steel Chef's Classic Set by Michael Barry

I bought this set about a month ago - I was very happy that it replaced the set of various potpourris that have accumulated over the years. I took inventory upon receipt and quickly discovered that neither the 10" pan lid nor the 1.5QT pot with lid was included. Revane, of course, responded—as he should have—to return the entire set. for a complete replacement. Well, this option was downright impractical at best due to the time it took to send one and receive the other. So I decided to go straight to Cuisinart - GREAT customer service; However, to my shock and dismay I was informed that the 1.5QT pot is NOT part of this kit (the rep said the Revain description on their webpage was wrong). weeks to receive it - and during the same call I ordered a similar (this particular model is NOT AVAILABLE) 1.5QT pot worth about $40 - in the meantime I started using the cookware, and much to my surprise and chagrin. EVERY part was horribly discolored and scarred on the bottom (from something as simple as boiling eggs on MEDIUM heat - as suggested by Cuisinart). Another call to Cuisinart! Another VERY NICE lady happily started changing the details. That's when my ancient brain FINALLY figured out that this could go on in a never-ending, unbroken cycle, based on one simple fact: This now Chinese product is NOT THE QUALITY, WORKMANSHIP OR RAW MATERIALS that I've grown accustomed to for years. before almost all American industrial production had decided to take the narrow route through China! So I returned the whole crappy cheap mess to Revain (should be free return for me but actually cost me another $40.00 - will discuss that with Revain another time - you know this has been going on since that date, the last week, the case is May, in the year of COVID-19, Revain customer service is NOT taking calls?! - "to better serve our customers" DON'T SAY WHAT WILL GO INTO YOUR FOOD AND BE DIGESTED BY YOUR FAMILY CAN!- Americans should boycott EVERYTHING made in China!
