A few months ago I bought a kit that included three (3) sensors and a wireless hub. My drain pump was sticking and working until it overheated. It will then restart and work again until it overheats again. So I shut off the pump so I could run to the Home Depot to get a replacement. Well I got distracted and never made it to the Home Depot. I woke up around 2am to find I forgot to reconnect the suction pump. I ran down the stairs and after the final step, my first step onto the carpet was met with a soft feel and wetness. ARHHH. The water rose and about 6 by 2 inches of my carpet got wet. I connected the pump and the water came out. Went to Home Depot the next day and got a replacement. This event gave me the idea to get water sensors. I did a little research and bought this kit from Revain. Very easy setup, push notifications and email notifications. Just last week one of the sensors went out in another room in the basement where I had the sensor. I went down and there was some water. I checked and it turned out that the drain in the window was clogged and water was coming in and seeping into the window. This little guy got the hang of it straight away and saved me a lot of trouble. This last one even made me want to get a few more to put next to the other windows in my basement. For what I paid for the original package and these two, I saved a lot by realizing early on what could have been a very, very costly water issue. I cannot recommend them enough. They will find out early and give you time to fix the problems. That's a lot better than waking up the next day and being horrified by a flooded basement or other place. A small price for so much fun!
