Review on Improved Adhesive Insulation for Fowong Weather Stripping by Justin Steele

Revainrating 2 out of 5

There is a high probability that you will not be able to remove the adhesive backing.

I used this to line a new barn door I just installed in my bathroom. There was some space between the door and the frame, which was inevitable but really annoying to look at. These gaskets were the perfect length and thickness for the job. But it was IMPOSSIBLE to remove the white plastic. It was clear that the glue had simply stuck to it. I even heated the back of the pad in hopes of softening the adhesive. I bought 2 packs (4 strips) and successfully removed the plastic backing from only one of them, but I definitely damaged the seal in the process. I ended up just ripping off the backing (the adhesive came loose and the strip was only left on a half inch pad with no adhesive. I used Gorilla Spray Glue to stick it on. Really like the pad but it shouldn't have been was so hard to remove the back cover.
