Review on 🔊 VEPA Pro-Mount 90 Speaker Brackets (Pair, White) by Definitive Technology by Jacob Richmond

I bought these to wall mount a pair of SONOS PLAY:1 Compact Wireless Music Streaming Speakers - (White). They were cheaper than most other mounting options and received decent reviews. However, I would happily spend the extra money on a more flexible mounting solution. Don't get me wrong, you can move the speaker around, but you have to be careful of the stress you put on the connector as you do so. Pro mounts are good for the money and do the job. In hindsight, they're just not as flexible as we'd like. They hold the speakers well, are a good color match and have a slight imprint on the wall. First you need to attach the balls to the back of the Sonos speaker, attach the clip to the wall, and then insert the clip around the indicated ball and tighten. The balls are rubberized and the clip has small protrusions or teeth to hold the speaker in place. This brings me to two things I don't like: 1.) The lag screw (requires allen/hex key) is on the underside and hard to reach. I kept tapping my knuckles on the wall and tightening the clamp. The size of the Sonos S1 speakers makes it difficult to use a long allen wrench to get more torque. It wasn't a terribly annoying experience, but it did make aligning the speakers more of a hassle than it could have been. 2.) Once put on, they stay put. Despite the spherical shape, there aren't many obstacles to movement when levitating the speakers due to the difficulty. It's possible, but you have to find a balance between loose enough to move and tight enough to stay in place. If you want more flexibility with speaker placement, I'd recommend getting floor mounts instead. If you really need a wall mount, I'd recommend trying the Flexson AAV-FLXPLAY1B2 Wall Mount for Sonos Play:1 - Pair (Black). They attach to the wall and allow for easy movement without having to loosen and tighten them every time. In addition, they have been specially developed for the Sonos P1 speaker.
