The Techdiamond warning about purchasing dyed products of a lesser quality were correct.This 14,000 grit paste put a true mirror finish on knife edges, removing the scratches which were the result of a 10,000 grit sharpening stone. (I used a Dremel tool with a felt tip that was loaded with a small amount of the paste. Voila! Mirror finish!)I had cause to email Techdiamond about an additional order.
