Review on πŸ”Œ Metra 70-2021 Amplifier Integration Harness for Chevrolet Impala/Monte Carlo 2000-2001 by Ricky Cruise

Best door speaker sound on a 2002 Suburban

I bought this to bypass the amplifier/bypass filter on my used 2002 Suburban. The door speakers were anemic when I bought the car - they sounded like an old AM radio. I installed this part after rewiring the cables to match the correct IAW sequence from this link http://www.savagehomeautomation.com/projects/bypass-factory-ampcrossover-in-2002-chevy-tahoe .html to customize. The sound difference with the original speakers and sound system was amazing. Where I previously had no bass or treble adjustment, this harness cut the bypass filter, allowing the bass to throb and the treble to scream out of the door speakers (at least to my old ears). Although this harness disables the rear subwoofer and tweeters without further modifications, I find that there is enough sound to be heard from the 4-door speakers in this large SUV.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I won't say anything
