The wolf print is really cool. A lot of reviews have said they are big and they are big. I chose these because the waist has an elastic and drawstring and from experience with my eldest son I only buy shorts with both. My boy just grew to size 8 pants so I ordered a size 8 and I have to tighten the drawstring as tight as I can to keep the shorts from falling off. They did not fall off after active play, but there was enough space for him to crawl out of shorts with a tight knot at the top. I would go down to a smaller size (1 size minimum) but he was dying to wear them because they have a super cool print!
