Review on 🧼 Cardone 85-299 High-Performance Wiper Motor by Joel Mosqueda

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well working engine with installation tips.

This engine was originally purchased from Revain. It was packaged well and it's a new engine, not a refurbished one, which is a great deal. The quality of the motor is very good and it installs/works great. It's a reliable engine that makes little noise. It was installed on an early 1992 Ford F250 so a little info for anyone installing for this application from the same years: You will need to remove the bonnet cover and wiper arms to install the engine correctly. This is because it allows easier access to the top motor bolts and allows for the removal of the snap-on wiper actuator arms. 1) Remove the wipers by lifting the wiper and pulling out the clip connector with pliers. This allows the wiper arms to be removed. 2) Remove the top five screws on top of the fairing and all screws on the front (under the hood) of the fairing. 3) Remove the antenna. 4) Pull the sheath forward to release the molding. around the window, then lift the bar to tilt it up from the window side and slide back. It's a little tricky when the cover is in place and to limit paint scratches I suggest using tape on the contact points, which will be very obvious. on the passenger side a little as that allows for extra movement. The tricky part is getting the shroud high enough to clear the bottom of the antenna and tilting it enough to fit the wiper mount plugs. If you don't want to manipulate the hood in this way, you'll have to remove the hood (much easier, but it requires a second person and extra work). Pole. Clamping by lifting and moving at an angle. 6) Slide both wiper rods off the motor arm. 7) Disconnect both power cords from the motor and unscrew the motor using a 10mm socket (this will work with both the top left screw and the bottom one). right) Use a 10mm open end on the upper right top screw. 8) Install motor in reverse order.
