Description of 🧼 Cardone 85-299 High-Performance Wiper Motor

Every motor is lubricated with the precise amount of grease needed for quiet operation. Brushes are designed to original specifications to ensure armature and contacts are properly matched. Magnets deliver the exact amount of torque needed to withstand extreme weather conditions and compensate for worn components in the wiper and window lift systems. All motors are 100 percent load tested.

Great. And $13 less than the parts store.

This was a 100% perfect solution for my 1991 F150. There is a video of the exchange on youtube. Pretty easy if you watch the video. I have uploaded a short video of the new block in operation.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Fits wipers

Anything from Cardone seems pretty cheap to me. All of their remanufactured products are painted black which is fine but makes them less premium in my opinion. The engine runs well but doesn't look too impressive.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Almost never

Fits well but not very long;

Installed on my F250 '94 in Dec '16. Mainly agricultural truck, 5000 miles since install. The block failed on March 18. I live in the desert so the wipers don't get used all the time. Not very happy with its short lifespan. The motor runs but the noise is like the internal gears are broken.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • So far so good

The original wiper motor has died, it works great.

The truck still had the OEM wiper motor and eventually died, this was replaced directly. Advise a friend to help remove the hood to access the screws. Other replacement parts do not come with a bracket and you will need to remove them from your old wiper motor, which is not an easy task. Get it and save a lot of time.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Appearance

The part was easy to install, there was no way to get at it.

Introduced on my 1994 F-150 XLT after an OEM part failed. For those that do, you'll need to remove the hood, radio antenna, and wiper arms (tip - make a note or remember where the wipers are when not in use). From there you will need to remove about 10-15 screws from the top of the panel and the inside of the hood. Lift it up and push it forward, it should come out. Unscrew everything from the inside and replace the motor with a new one. reassemble in reverse order (tip - check the wiper hoses…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Reliability

Conveniently plug and play on 92 F350 with intermittent wipers

Comes pre-installed on a large mounting plate which allows for a fresh foam seal which is a plus. The only reason I removed the star was because the male electrical connectors on the motor connector itself are slightly shorter than the factory spades. So if the connector is a little loose, it may not be making good contact. I checked the electrical connections prior to installation to verify the alignment of the actual connections and found this. When I tested the new motor before installing…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • No instructions

Well working engine with installation tips.

This engine was originally purchased from Revain. It was packaged well and it's a new engine, not a refurbished one, which is a great deal. The quality of the motor is very good and it installs/works great. It's a reliable engine that makes little noise. It was installed on an early 1992 Ford F250 so a little info for anyone installing for this application from the same years: You will need to remove the bonnet cover and wiper arms to install the engine correctly. This is because it allows…

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
