Not a bad device, good for hubs

I don't know what happened to my original review but it will be an update. So the machine is fine. My goal was a small tb3 hub for my Alienware with a uhsii SD slot. It took me a while to get tb3 working. There were some issues with smb settings when turning windows features on and off. Those who developed the wd wireless pass have nothing to do with the device. But for some reason it was causing problems with my tb3 port. Now it works with tb3 but only if it is connected to the port before turning on the laptop. Disconnect the device while the laptop is on and you will have to reboot the system as it will not recognize the device. In terms of performance, the SD card slot doesn't take advantage of the best performance of my Sony g with 300MB write speed. I average around 170-190MB on a TB3 port. Ironically, I have a USB-C port on the side that only works with legacy USB 3.0, which is consistently 190MB better than tb3. I ran a few more tests with some external hard drives and no matter which port you use, it maximizes the drive's read and write speeds. I'll do some more testing with some SSDs but for now I think it's a good device but with tb3 it could really be for those who have a Mac with no other ports. And I will update my review with more testing. I want to test speeds with multiple connected devices. hp Customer support is fantastic and will recommend any of their products. One of the few companies that I actually get an answer from very quickly. Also works for Android.
