XYZ is somewhat similar to an HP inkjet printer. As you may already know, XYZ printers are specifically designed to work only with XYZ filament. This is a serious problem as there is no competition in the XYZ market. XYZ did this on purpose because they can sell their printers cheap and sell their filament to make money. The lack of competition creates two problems. First, XYZ thread prices are high. Secondly, unlike HP inkjet cartridges, filament is not the best quality and can cause filament bubbles and jams because small dirt particles sometimes contaminate the filament and will definitely irritate you greatly. But the only way to avoid the XYZ filament buying cycle trap is to buy another 3D printer from another company, or build a chip that fools XYZ printers into thinking you're using their special plastic when you actually are use a different brand.
