4 stars because Volkman releases great pure seeds without sunflower seeds. BUT I give this one a 4 star not 5 stars because the picture on the box is extremely misleading The cockatoo in the picture on the box suggests this is a great seed for larger hook-nosed birds Too small for my Goffin cockatoo Ellie eats big slices of it Banana and pumpkin seeds but don't want to mess around with other seeds because they are too small for them :( After poking around I found a Goldenfeast Madagascar mix that I know Ellie will love for its Brazilian flavor Nuts and all kinds of big chunks of delicious treats If Volkman had a comparable mix I would seriously consider buying it to attempt. Even Volkman's African mix wouldn't do well enough as many reviewers pointed out, small safflower seeds and whatnot :( too small for larger birds :( I love Volkman for my smaller birds and this particular Super Hookbill mix is better suited to Conure, Quaker, Indian Ringneck, etc. Not for birds larger than these.
