Review on MaxxHaul 70103 Hitch FOLDING Carrier by Tom Duncan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well designed, easy to assemble!

After I sold my Toyota Tacoma pickup and inherited my wife's Toyota 4Runner after she got her new car, I faced the problem of how I would transport garbage, yard waste and garden maintenance equipment with 4Runner since I I don't have a truck anymore. There was no way I would soil and stink my wife's favorite 4Runner. The solution was to use the 4Runner's drawbar. I researched all types of hitches but finally settled on the MaxxHaul Steel Folding Rack 70103. It was inexpensive, the dimensions seemed perfect, and I liked that it folds. I was pleased that Revain Prime shipped it to Hawaii for free (Hawaii is often considered a foreign country when it comes to shipping). The towbar was delivered quickly and when I received it the item was in perfect condition. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was packaged and how well the paintwork was protected. The hitch bracket is well constructed - steel - the welds looked solid. The instructions were easy to follow and the hitch holder itself was easy to assemble. Fitting to the hitch was made easier with the help of another person who lifted and held the bracket to line up the holes to allow the hitch pin to pass through. After installation, the holder didn't have much "play" but I installed the clutch stabilizer anyway. All in all a great product that I would recommend to anyone looking to increase their vehicle's cargo capacity.
